ABOUT THE CREW

 

Victoria B. Fender (associate producer, finishing editor) – a native of Argentina, is a San Francisco-based film and video producer, editor and colorist. For her work as a student, she won a Silver Clio and Gold Addy for best student commercial. Her clients include the Academy of Art University, Kamala Harris' 2007 Campaign video, and Meals on Wheels. She worked on the film Stealing America: Vote by Vote.

 

Naiti Gámez (cinematographer) – is a New York-based filmmaker from Miami/Cuba. Her film, Love, Sadie, premiered at the Festival de Cannes Short Film Corner. As a cinematographer, her work has screened at Cannes, Sundance, Berlinale, Tribeca, SXSW, and Festival du Cinema de Paris.

 

Vicente Franco (cinematographer) – was director of photography on four Academy Award nominees: Daughter from Da Nang; The Barber of Birmingham; The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers, and Freedom on My Mind.

 

Elizabeth Finlayson (editor) – is a filmmaker and editor whose work has garnered an Academy Award and several Emmy nominations. Her credits include Last Day of Freedom, The Groove is Not Trivial, The Kids of Survival and the upcoming Free For All: Inside the Public Library.

 

Jim Klein (editor) – is an award-winning documentary editor and filmmaker. His credits include the classic films Taken for a Ride, Seeing Red and Union Maids. More recently, he has worked on Hippie Family Values and Unsettled: Seeking Refuge in America.

 

Bill Weber (editor) – is a renowned director and editor, whose credits include We Were Here, The Galapagos Affair: Satan Came to Eden, The Cockettes and Moonlight Sonata: Deafness in Three Movements.

 

Nol Honig (designer and title sequence creator) – is a director, designer, animator, and educator whose work plays in the spaces between graphic design, multi-media collage, experimental filmmaking, and oddball code. His clients include Coca Cola, YouTube, MTV and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and he was nominated for a Motion Award for his opening sequence The Endless Scare.

 

B. Quincy Griffin (composer) – has scored more than a dozen feature films, including the Oscar-nominated Daughter from Da Nang, and the Sundance winner My Flesh and Blood. His music can also be heard in the Benjamin Bratt film La Mission and The Two Escobars. He founded and produced the Latin hip-hop band O-Maya and is currently writing with vocalist Luqman Frank.

 

Bijan Sharifi (sound design) – is a sound designer and audio post-production engineer based in Berkeley, CA. His work has been heard at Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, TIFF and Telluride.
